Join me live on Zoom on March 13 from 7-8pm (Eastern Time) for a seed sketching workshop!
These seeds are winter’s gifts to the birds, and spring’s reminder to us that winter doesn’t last forever. Let’s appreciate their subtle beauty by observing color, texture, shape, and design.
I will be showing you how to draw the plants demonstrating with drawing the specimen in micron sepia pens first and painting in watercolors on 4" x 4" cold press watercolor paper. You do not need these exact supplies. Come to the workshop with your favorite size watercolor paper, a few waterproof pens (microns are wonderful for this), and some watercolors or colored pencils.
If you don’t have waterproof pens, you could always use pencil first, then watercolor.
Arrive to the workshop with a few of your own favorite seed heads from your yard or neighborhood. We will put them back after so they can continue on feeding the birds or growing into new plants
After you purchase this class, a digital file will be emailed to you that contains the meeting details and supply list. That pdf will contain the exact Zoom link for the workshop. Please do not share this link. It is meant for you. Feel free to share with your household, though.
I look forward to painting with you!

My heart continues to be amazed by the natural world we live in and I want to share this through the words and images of my work. By teaching others to love nature, we encourage empathy, and in that we are saving the world.
