Monarch Metamorphosis Drawing a Day Print

Archival PRINT Originally drawn in pencil, painted in watercolor and gouache. Created for the House of Illustration, Drawing a Day challenge in September of 2018. I drew one 1" x 1" drawing each day in September and the subject I chose to focus on was monarch butterflies and the changes they go through. Many love the beauty of the monarch, but not many consider the struggle it goes through on its way to achieving wings. Reproduced with archival inks on archival presentation paper.
